Black Artists Still Matter is a digital artwork with text made with Adobe Photoshop which emphasizes the importance of black artists. The work is inspired by the Black Lives Matters protests and concerned with how racism, prejudice, and discrimination are still happening in the 21st century. Weaver raises awareness about black artists in white spaces in the art world, and she pays tribute to black artists. As a black student, she uses her skills and drive from black hardships as both an artist and a person of color in the United States today.
