Lisbet Martinez writes: "It’s Fun to Pretend expresses the importance of imagination, my connection with my stories, and my creative side. I have always focused on many things, and they become overwhelming, but fantasy makes everything so much better. My stories and drawings sometimes feel silly and out of this world when I share them with others, but I am still proud of them. In It's Fun to Pretend, the figures in the background represent the emotions I feel when I 'pretend' my story scenarios. Although, I become shy to show my works to others, I reflect on them, and I am happy with how they turn out."
Lisbet Martinez is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. Originally from Montclair, California, Martinez has been working to be a first-generation graduate in her family. She continues to use traditional media, but her preferred medium is digital. She uses Procreate, Adobe software, and photography. She intends to keep developing her skills and one day work in the entertainment business.
